Being Part of the Palm Beach Business Matchmaker

At the beginning of October, I.Q. Constructions, Inc. was a Title Sponsor for the Palm Beach Partners Business Matchmaker Conference & Expo. The event has been running for 20 years in West Palm Beach, bringing together small businesses, women and minority-owned companies, and the agencies that work with them.

We went with expectations. We wanted people to know who we are and what we do. But being in that room was about more than the sponsorship. It was about being where local work gets discussed.

We are a general contractor, and we also work as a minority partner on projects led by other general contractors. We have done that on school projects across Palm Beach County. Being in these spaces helps both sides find each other: GCs who need a reliable minority partner, and firms like ours who want to be considered for the next job.

Construction is still predominantly male, and Latinas leading construction companies aren’t everywhere. When a Latina woman is leading a company in that room, people notice. That matters for the next person who wants to get into this industry.

Small businesses are the backbone of the communities we build in. When they succeed, the whole county benefits. That’s why showing up at events like this is part of the work.

I.Q. Constructions, Inc. is SBE certified and holds licenses to work across South Florida, on schools, commercial spaces, and homes. We bring the same standard to every project.

If you’re a general contractor looking for a minority partner, or you’re building something in South Florida, let’s talk.
